In the first part of our conversation, Milan Vukmirovic reflects on his personal path into fashion, from his education and early formative years to the beginnings of his career in the industry.
Milan Vukmirovic is a former Creative Director of Jil Sander, Design Director at Gucci under Tom Ford, co-founder of the Paris concept store Colette, Creative Director for Trussardi and Ports, and Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director of L’Officiel Hommes. Today, he works across creative direction, publishing, and photography, and serves as Editor-in-Chief of Fashion For Men Magazine.
He discusses the cultural and creative environments that shaped his thinking within the fashion industry, including the rise of influential spaces such as Colette Paris, one of the most significant concept stores of its time. The episode traces how these formative experiences informed his approach to fashion, publishing, and cultural production, laying the foundations for his later work.
